Philadelphia Frontrunners

Our friends at the DC Frontrunners have shared an invitation to their 5k walk and run on June 6, 2014:

The DC Front Runners Pride Run 5K -- a race of friendly competition, evening of community and celebration, and an Official Event of Capital Pride 2014 -- returns this June.

When: Friday, June 6, 2014, 7:00 pm

Where: Historic: Congressional Cemetery, 1801 E Street, SE, Washington, DC

The chip-timed 5K race, coinciding with the beginning of the Capital Pride weekend, will be managed by Pacers Events. It will be followed by a post-race Finish Festival brought to you by JR's Bar, featuring a live DJ, entertainment, beer for race participants (must be 21 w/ ID; must retain your racing bib), and awards for the race's top performers. All registered participants receive a tech race T-shirt.

Registration for the DC Front Runners Pride Run 5K is now open. The cost is $40 for general registration; $30 for participants under 21. Online registration closes Thursday, June 5, 11:59 pm. Register today!

Several Frontrunners participated in this race and performed very well .

Kevin Kuehlwein finished in 53:24 - second in his age group.

Marty Mastascusa finished in 59:25 - sixth in his age group.

John McGinty finished in 1:13:22 - twelfth in his age group.

Kurt and Mudhillun joined with the great folks at Philadelphia Runner to staff a table at Outfest 2013 . Looks like they had a great time!
